i just noticed that this is my 52nd post on this blog. hmm. thats quite a few.
i had another solo flight at a value engineering meeting this morning for a junior high. i wasn't sure what to expect, but ended up presenting my/our design in front of 25 people at the spur of the moment. it seemed fine. i think i must be getting better at my job, because i feel confident in things like that. i sure hope im getting better at it! just a bunch of stinkin architects anyway. its alright that everyone else was wearing beige and black and had their shirts tucked in. i can feel okay about my new lime green button down, pleated punk style khaki skirt and pink ribbon around my hips. yeah, im 24. put that in your t-square and smoke it.
did i say that we found a new home for oct-dec? yay! melis and i found a nice little upstairs in a house in our hood. its nicely furnished, two big bedrooms, nice kitchen and dining area, BBQ,...the works! i still wish i could stay in my amazing (apparently $700,000!!) home, but this will work out pretty dang well. we can pack up most of our junk early, and be ready to flee come december.
went out to westport last sunday. the waves were cheery and the sun was out. i wish i could surf everyday.
